Speakers:
Eric Williams
Eric Williams is a chartered tax advisor and Head of Tax for Grant Thornton
in the West Midlands. He also leads the firms Birmingham Entrepreneur and
Private Client team which this year won the LexisNexis tax team of the year
aware in the "High Net Worth Client" category.
Eric has specialised in
advising private and entrepreneurial clients for over 25 years and has
established a strong relationship with the large West Midlands non-domiciled
community for tax advice which makes optimum use of their non-domiciled
status.
He speaks widely on tax planning for non-domiciliaries and is one
of the leading specialists in Grant Thornton in this area.
Stephanie Churchill
Stephanie joined Grant Thornton's Private Client team in July 2007. Prior to that she worked at BDO Stoy Hayward, having originally trained at Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
She is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, as well as being a member of their capital taxes technical committee. She is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Stephanie moved into taxation shortly after leaving university and has worked in taxation for the last 13 years.
Stephanie's main specialisation is capital taxes planning She provides comprehensive advice on all areas of capital gains tax, inheritance tax and trusts to a range of individual private clients, including many who are non-UK domiciled. She works closely with her financial planning colleagues to provide a "holistic" approach to tax and financial planning.
Nick Barran is a Client Director at GAM (Global Asset Management)
He joined GAM in June 2002, and before that was at Rothschild Asset Management where he had responsibility for private clients, charities, and intermediary relationships. Prior to joining Rothschilds, he worked at Cazenove in London. He has a degree from Newcastle University, and holds the Securities Institute Diploma.
Arti Halai, Presenter
Arti hali has worked for some of the countryis largest media organisations like BBC, ITN News Channelm LWT, Mirror Group and Sunrise Radio. She is currently a presenter for ITV’s regional news Output in the Midlands. Arti has a company called AH Action! which specialises in offering workshops and seminars in communication and presentation skills. She is a practitioner od Neuro-Linguistic Programming and NLP Life Coach, INLPA trained.
