These will be followed by an open forum discussion, Chaired by Peter Stilliard, National Asian Business Development, Lloyds TSB along side a panel of distinguished and highly successful and prominent entrepreneurs including Darun Dhamji (CEO First Europa formally Ebookers family,) Preyen Dewani, CEO PSP Group, and Shaheena Janjua Jivraj, Reading university.

Chair of the debate:
Peter Stilliard, National head of Asian Business Development, Lloyds TSB

Peter Stilliard heads up the Asian Markets Team for LTSB's Business Development arm across the UK. He works closely with Kamel Hothi the Asian Market Corporate Director.

He has gained considerable Business experience from his 30 years with the Bank in London and the South East.

His Team cover all aspects of growing Businesses and specialise in a number of key sectors including Retail, Hotels, Care Homes, Healthcare & Property. They have a core strategy of connecting with local communities.

Peter views the next generation as critical for the UK economy – "The primary drive will come from a very well educated force of serial entrepreneurs. They will take their advantage and direction from the financial stability created by the previous generation".

Networking:
At 8:30 there will be an evening reception with a complimentary bar and substantial Asian canapés, allowing all invitees to network effectively enjoying great food and wine.

Speakers:
WELCOME: Anuj Chande is a corporate finance partner at Grant Thornton with over 29 years professional and commercial experience. At Grant Thornton Anuj leads the South Asia Group, set up by him in 1991, to serve Asian owned businesses both in the UK and those investing from the Indian subcontinent and elsewhere. His clients include those in food, drink, media, hotels, technology and property. Over the years he has advised on both debt and equity fund raisings for his Asian clients.

COMPERE: Tony Sarin Chair of the ABA, Power 100 and self confessed serial entrepreneur will be representing the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry established the Asian Business Association, which today speaks for over 1500 companies and is the most important forum for Asian businesses in London to meet and develop skills needed to flourish in today's marketplace.

Deepak Malhotra is a key member of Grant Thornton's South Asia Group, working as a Senior Manager within the Entrepreneur and Private Client team. Deepak specifically deals with the tax issues facing the Indian Diaspora on a global basis, with significant exposure to multi-jurisdictional tax issues. Deepak is one of the few Private Client tax specialists within a large firm who specialises in advising individuals of South Asian origin and has significant experience in dealing with the complex domicile issue for people of South Asian origin. Deepak specialises in tax planning for High Net Worth Individuals and Entrepreneurs and is an expert in advising on the UK tax issues facing non-UK domiciled individuals, focusing on dealing with complex offshore tax matters. Deepak has also advised on a number of property structures, including funds and other structures for both UK & overseas property.

As a Chartered Tax Adviser (prize winner), and a Chartered Accountant, Deepak has written a number of articles for 'Tax Journal' and 'Tax Adviser' and has been recently quoted in 'The Daily Telegraph' and 'The Financial Times'.

In his previous role at Deloitte, Deepak worked within their International Private Client team where he also helped set up their Indian desk.
