Mark Finucane : Area corporate Director of Warwickshire and Leicestershire Business Banking

Mark Finucane was appointed Area Corporate Director of Warwickshire & Leicestershire Business Banking Unit in March 2005.

Mark's 26 year career in Barclays spans frontline sales roles, working with multinationals and business customers and a number of key leadership roles including heading Warwickshire & Leicestershire Medium Business. Mark became Area Corporate Director with responsibility for the Sales and Service of Business customers with typically turnover of between £1m and £15m.

For the past 18 months he has run the Business in Warwickshire & Leicestershire, successfully transforming the business during the period. Passionate about customer service and making Barclays a market leader in Business Banking, Mark is also the Regions Retail and Wholesale team leader - driving the changes needed to deliver the best financial solutions and excellent service levels to customers in this industry.

Mark maintains a keen focus on both customers and colleagues, particularly around engagement of people and constantly raising the benchmark for talent.

Married with one son, James who is 8. Outside work, Mark is an avid sports fan, passionate about squash and football - and also enjoys chess and keeping fit whilst listening to music on his iPod.



CB Patel: Media, Retail, and Property

CB is the founder of ABPL Publishing Group and editor of Gujarat Samachar and Asian Voice weekly newspapers including a host of supplements on subject matters as varied as Property, Health, Finance and Banking and Education. A publisher for over 35 years, with one of the largest circulation European wide within their specialist sector ABPL Group represents a wealth of knowledge and information. Trained in the legal profession CB has owned a large number of retail outlets as well as a small property portfolio.



Jasbir Singh Derewal, TV and Property

Jasbir is chairman of Channel Punjab and a non executive Director of Derewals Real Estates. A business established in the 1960ıs by his grandfather Sardar Bhagwan Derewal, currently run by Jasbirıs father, Ranjit Singh Derewal. Derewals Real Estates specialise in land buying, commercial and residential investments and buying and selling property in India. Channel Punjab is the families newest venture, created to fulfil a need in the Punjabi community which has long been neglected.



Tony Deep MBE, Chairman of East End Foods PLC

Tony Deep MBE is the Chairman of East End Foods Plc a family business with no less than 14 members of the extended family actively working within the firm. Tony has been working with Asian foods for over 35 years. He is passionate about food and has always lobbied against artificial food colouring, preservatives and additives. East End Foods has over 35 yearsı experience as a leading supplier and innovator in the UK Indian food market, with an annual turnover of over £100million. East End foods are a trusted suppliers of high quality ethnic foods to a wide range of markets from our progressive plant in the West Midlands, at the centre of the national distribution network.

Over 80% of Asian independents stock East End's range as well as all the major UK multiples.

We are one of the largest importers of Indian foods into the UK (e.g. 16.86% of the total UK spice imports - Mintel Report - July 2003)



Sat Bahia, Consilium Legal

Born in 1967. Educated in West Bromwich before graduating at the University College in Cardiff in 1988 with a Law degree. Undertaking a trainee contract and proceeding to join a leading Birmingham commercial practice Needham & James as a Solicitor in 1992. Became a Partner in Needham & James in 1995 and in turn Head of the Litigation Department.

In March 2002 established a Partnership called Garratts Legal specialising in Commercial law in Wolverhampton.

December 2002 became Managing Partner and oversaw the development of the Practice, which included the opening of a Birmingham office some two years ago.

Special interests include general keep fit, military history to include presenting a number of lectures in connection with the Anglo-Sikh wars 1845-1849. Also a Trustee of the Maharajah Duleep Singh Centenary Trust, a registered charity promoting Anglo-Sikh heritage.
